An idea:
Kylo’s introduction scene for IX is him training with various droids and shit (no people, our boy is lonely). Some of the droids have holograms showing well known enemies to the First Order as what’s supposed to be a motivator. He slices through most of them and then swings to strike the next one but pauses moments before he touches it. It’s Rey (because she is like public enemy number 1 now that Kylo’s told everybody that she managed to kill Snoke, his guards, and best Kylo all at once). His saber drops to his side as he walks towards the hologram. His free hand lifts to touch her face, and he looks at her like he did in the elevator in TLJ. As his fingers touch the hologram, it disappears, his fingers close around nothing, and he’s left only with regret.

I don’t know if any of my followers or people in the community are big Emma Blackery fans, but I had to throw this out there. I’m a huge fan of hers so sorry if I start to wax poetic on the majesty of this song.

Anyway I was so intrigued by the “Icarus” single that just dropped. Then when I got to listen to it in full I was overcome (its been on repeat since). It’s beautiful/bittersweet and I obviously related to it for my own reasons. But… on continual listens I felt it also fitted someone else perfectly… Our own damaged Ben Solo.

I strongly recommend going and giving it a listen.

But not only do I feel like it strongly fits Ben it also can be seen as a perception of Ben through Rey’s eyes particularly in TLJ. There is a pain and hubris that fits so well. Gorgeous song so please go and listen.

I can’t even explain how disappointed and upset I am in the recent rumbling of Star Wars news from Disney and Lucasfilm.

Obi Wan is my favorite character in the canon and I wanted that Kenobi movie so bad. I’m pretty ambivalent about the Solo film. I didn’t want it, I don’t really agree with some of the story/character decisions made in it but I don’t hate it. I just don’t really care about it.

But to have the Kenobi film sacrificed in the light of the relative failure of Solo is so disheartening. And yes “shelved” doesn’t mean completely gone. But when you get to the nitty gritty it might as well.

It’s kind of like that old scenario from when you were a kid. For example you go to visit your grandparents and they fix something you don’t want for dinner. You voice the displeasure and they get annoyed - “Well you eat this or you don’t eat.” That’s what the SOLO vs KENOBI mess feels like. They wanted to shove Solo down our throat and got mad when we would have preferred Kenobi. So since we didn’t want Solo we just don’t get anything.

It just breaks my heart because we had Kenobi so close we could taste it. We had Ewan likely attached and voicing his desire to return and excited about the possibility of stepping into his Kenobi robes again. This sounds cliche but it’s just not fair.

After an amazing and successful Reylo Week hosted at reylo-week-2018 by lorsanbitch and reylo, we (ofserien and lucifersdeckerstar) are hosting another one!
What is Reylo Week?
For those of you who didn’t participate in the last one and/or aren’t sure what it is, Reylo week is a week dedicated to our wonderful ship where creators all around can share content relating to themes of the days during the week which it takes place. All content is welcome! Anyone is free to participate. No sign up or anything needed. You can do a couple of the days, one of the days, or all of them. It’s just a fun event for us all to celebrate Reylo!
How do I participate?
Anyone can participate! You can create whatever you want to (gifs, graphics, videos, fanfics, ect) and use our tag (reyloveweek) or tag us directly. You could also submit or send us an ask linking us to your work. We have themes set up each day that are open to interpretation. Take your art wherever your heart desires!
